Children of the Truth

The Children of the Truth are an Islamic cult led by Ayesha Rahman.

Overview

Basing its teachings on the Islamic notions of Judgment Day, when souls will rise to Jannah or fall into Jahannam, the Children believe that said day has already come and passed, and that the souls of Jahannam surround the living.[1] Moreover, the cult believes that said souls can be controlled and put to use.[1] The means to do so, in their eyes, lies in scourging themselves, fasting, and the like.[2] In truth, the "souls" are spirits, and the Children of the Truth, in creating suffering among themselves, feed Essence to the spirits.
