Chrome-Prime

Chrome-Prime is human name for the homeworld of the Chromatics.

Overview

Chrome-Prime is slightly larger than Earth, but less dense, with surface gravity of about .84 g. It orbits a G-type star. Evidences suggests that in the past it had at least one moon, but this has been shattered into a ring of asteroidal bodies. [1]

The surface of Chrome-Prime is about 45% ocean (compared to 75% on Earth) and subject to extreme temperature swings. The atmosphere is thin and sulfurous. As a result, much of the native flora and fauna have evolved to live underground, where natural caverns trap a denser atmosphere and a water table warmed by tectonic activity provide more hospitable conditions.[1][2]

The Chromatic population on Chrome-Prime is estimated at 1 billion, though accurate numbers are hard to determine from orbit.[1]
