Cohort
A cohort is a group of Renegade Deviants working together for a common purpose.
Usually, a cohort forms when two or more Deviants meet and discover common goals. They might all be pursuing the same conspiracy, or one might have rescued another while infiltrating a Node. Sometimes a cohort might include the Deviants' Loyalty Touchstones.
Trust is the most important element within a cohort. When anyone could be an agent of a conspiracy, a Renegade needs to be able to count on his allies.
A cohort may take the form of a vigilante group, a mentorship, or a spy ring, depending on how they meet and interact. Few cohorts grow too large, however. A cohort that takes in too many members opens itself up to increased risk of discovery or betrayal. Left to grow unchecked, a cohort might develop into a conspiracy itself and become the very thing its founders originally sought to fight against.
