Dictaphone

The Dictaphone from JBX Solutions is one of three primary relic inventory items possessed by Ed Miller. It is acquired from a safe in Howard Barclay's office. Ed uses the Dictaphone to open voice-locks throughout the Barclay Mansion.

These messages are recorded on to the dictaphone by Howard Barclay.
- Vincent called again. He sure can't take a hint. Some times I worry if he's lost it.
- Ms Walters doesn't give up. I'm not at all sure she's got what it takes, but at this stage, what do I have to lose?
- I've run out of Raxanopham. Again. Pretty sure the bitch who delivers it for me skims half of it and sells it on.
- That sniveling art dealer is suddenly growing a conscience. If it wasn't so laughable, it would be sad.
- Some reporter had the audacity to call me on my private line today, to dredge up forgotten old memories about Robert. God, I haven't thought about him for years.
- I see something in Mr. Millers's [sic] photographs. Something almost ethereal. Is he even aware of it himself?
- Yesterday, rummaging through my desk I found Cassandra's contract. Why the hell did I keep that?
- The days are all the same now. I wake up, body aching. The pillow stained with blood. On a good day I haven't shit myself, but most days aren't good at all.
- I dream of Cassandra sometimes. Of what she could have become. It doesn't matter. Nothing matters anymore.
- There is something out there. I can feel it. There has to be more than this. It can't all be so pointless.
- The pain today is unbearable. When will this all end?
- I dreamed about the "other place" again. Is it real, or just the run-away imagination of a dying old man?
- When I woke up today, I could have sworn there was someone in the room with me. There was a scent ... Some perfume maybe? I recognized it, but I don't know from where.
