Doorkeepers
The Doorkeepers, or Kapici, were a union of stigmatics in 15th-century Constantinople who gathered together in the wake of the God-Machine's flight from the city.[1]
No longer watched by the Machine's agents, these stigmatics leveraged their power to bargain with Unchained as relative equals, usually being paid in coin rather than the demons' usual deal-making.[2]
Unusually for their time, the Doorkeepers recruited members of any sex, religion, or ethnicity. Indeed, those who refused to join them tended to quietly disappear.[2] Unfortunately, their zeal to recruit led them to accept God-Machine cultists and other spies.[2]
