Farnsworth Weaver
Farnsworth W. Weaver is one of the former directors of Bishopsgate Mental Asylum, in addition to his position as director of Weaver Pharmaceuticals, Inc..
Overview
A rare case of the director not being a doctor himself, Director Weaver brought on Doctor Matthew Gorlay to fill the gap as Head of Medicine. Their tenure lasted from 1921 to 1933, when their iniquities were uncovered by Doctor Thomas Werner, and was, by all accounts, the most horrifying period of Bishopsgate's history, ending with a body count of nearly 300 patients, not including the permanent damage caused to more than 150 other victims. On an equally criminal, but somewhat less horrifying note, Weaver was convicted of embezzling upwards of $100,000 during his twelve-year reign.
Sentenced in 1934 to three years in prison, his term apparently was extended for some unknown reason, for he died of stomach cancer, still imprisoned, in 1939. Having left no will and no heirs, Bishopsgate went up for auction, being bought by Werner for the nominal price of a dollar.
At some point following his death, Weaver's ghost returned and was entrapped at Bishopsgate as one of the Board of Directors.
