Felix (VTR)
Felix was a vampire who, during the reign of Elizabeth I, posed as Lord Francis Walsingham, commonly remembered as the queen's spymaster.
Overview
Taking advantage of the ill health Walsingham had been suffering since 1571, Felix slipped into his place, constructing webs of rumors, both partially true and patently false, that he used to spur on the court's paranoia, all for some obscure motivation.[1]
He had taken on agents for himself, among them the mortal conman Nicholas Skeres.[2]
At some point, the poet Christopher Marlowe spied on Felix, describing in several letters and journals the Mekhet conversing with Æthelgifu and speaking over the body of the ailing Walsingham.[3] The results of Marlowe's spying and its effects on Felix are unknown.
