The de facto leader of the group of Americans called “the Lads”, Gary is in Tokyo searching for an interesting story to take back home.
Overview
The younger bother of a man with a dozen tall tales of conquests and successes in Singapore, Gary wants to bring home an even bigger story before he is locked into a boring corporate life at his father’s firm. As such, he sees absolutely nothing wrong with getting into trouble — all the better if he doesn’t have to embellish much. This is only exacerbated by his erroneous belief that, as what amounts to a tourist, his actions will not have consequences.
