Hallowbrook Hotel

The Hallowbrook Hotel is a hotel in the heart of Downtown, Los Angeles.
Overview
It was derelict for some time, and in late 2004 was a hideout for the local Sabbat. Quite a coup, as it was right in the middle of Camarilla territory, not far from the Venture Tower from which the Prince ran the city. [1]
After the destruction of Andrei, the Tzimisce who led the Sabbat, the hotel was renovated and reopened to the public. Gangrel historian Beckett stayed there in 2005 following a stay in the Ocean View Hotel, but found the experience distasteful because it "absolutely reeks of blood."
It's not known if this was a pervasive experience for all guests, or if Beckett was simply more sensitive to the residual odor due to his enhanced senses.[2]
Background Information
- The Hallowbrook map files in Bloodlines are labelled "bradbury," indicating the Hallowbrook was intended as a stand-in for LA's historic Bradbury Building. The restored Hallowbrook Atrium area in the Plus version of the Unofficial Patch also nearly duplicates the Bradbury's own atrium.
Bradbury exterior - The exterior signage originally called it the "Hollowbrook" Hotel.
- "Dreamscape 2" (not currently found on any official soundtrack release) is used in the Hallowbrook Atrium. "Dangerous Places" and "Dangerous Places Combat" (tracks 15 and 4 from VTM: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines: More Music from the Vault ) play through most of the hotel. This changes to "Disturbed and Twisted" and "Disturbed and Twisted Combat" (tracks 10 and 11 in the VTM: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Score ) in the basement area where you confront Andrei.
