Hera (Scion)
Hera is the goddess of marriage of the Dodekatheon and the wife of Zeus.
Overview
Hera is famous for tolerating her husband's many lovers, but she sees her own philandering as a means of ensuring the continued survival of the gods. The rest of her pantheon might look askance at this rationalization, but they dare not say anything to their queen. Hera appears as a regal older woman, hair streaked with gray, who commands attention wherever she goes.
Hera takes on roles in the World that grant her access to power and luxury, often as the wife or mother of someone prominent who she can manipulate from the shadows. She's always dressed to the nines with her pearls, and she takes her dogs (and sometimes her peacocks) wherever she goes. There's a reason her vindictive streak is legendary — if you anger her, she's capable of ruining not just your day, but your epoch.
Hera's Scions occupy a somewhat awkward position among the gods. They're strong, useful, a bulwark against the Titans ... but they're also the queen's bastards, and Zeus is not known for his patience or tolerance. The other gods aren't sure how warm a welcome they should put out for Hera's children, or how many Birthrights to gift them with, to avoid provoking the king's wrath.
