Hollow Man

Hollow Men (also known as Nix, the Forlorn, and Adurra) are strange spirits that are known to target societies.

Overview

<<This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but a whimper.>>

Claiming to be of Void, the Hollow Men always act in such a way as to introduce loss into the world, even if their actions appear to be beneficial in the short term.[1] They are abhorred by most elemental spirts, who will tend to either flee the Adurra or attack them on sight.[1]

Hollow Men gravitate toward the lynchpins of society (for example, the leading partners of a law firm or the head of a cabal of mages), inevitably killing them.[1] This is not merely for the sake of killing however, nor even consuming the victims. Rather, the Forlorn seek to ruin whatever society they have found.[1]

Appearance

In the Shadow, Hollow Men appear as little more than distortions, whose presence weakly sucks in nearby matter, creating small dust devils from the ensuing winds.[1] In the material world, these spirits frequently appear as humans, wearing large coats and mirrored sunglasses.[1]
