Iron Knight
Amidst ancient, darkened Arcadian trees lies a crooked path to a crooked wood. There, where the crow cries alarm, the Iron Knight guards a lonely bridge over a twisting stream.
Description
| “ | Broken bones and blood will kill you. Cowardice can do worse. You’ve trespassed on my lands, will you take my challenge face-to-face? Or run and hope to escape the price of your curiosity? | ” |
Remember well the old warnings: do not stray from the path. The Iron Knight stands guard over the Black Oak Wilds, challenging the curious and foolish souls who wandered after Will o' Wisps. These mortals must face the Knight or be buried under the wilds' trees. There, they are fundamentally changed, becoming shadows of who they once were.
These shadows become the Knight's spies and pathfinders, hunting down other mortals for the Other to challenge, tempting more fools off the paths, and recording all that is taken from them into the Knight's hoard of treasure.
