Item:Daimonori
The Daimonori is an occult item used in VTM: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines . It's found inside a Tremere PC's new haven in the downtown chantry, if they've gained access to it.
- This pendant is hot to the touch, a heat that seeps into your core and fills you with a new confidence. You're unsure if this power is entirely your own, but its intoxicating lure is seemingly beyond your power to resist. Increases the damage of all Thaumaturgy effects.
The Daimonori increases the damage of Thaumaturgical effects by 40%.
Due to its location, this item is available exclusively to Tremere PCs. The equivalent items for other clans are the Zharalketh for Nosferatu, and the Galdjum for all other clans.
Plus Patch
When picked up, the item is initially Unknown:
- You can't identify this item, but it has a 'Made in Hell' label on the bottom.
- You need a Research skill of at least 4 to use this item.
Once the Research requirement has been met, the item is replaced with the Daimonori:
- This pendant is hot to the touch, a heat that seeps into your core and fills you with a new confidence. You're unsure if this power is entirely your own, but its intoxicating lure is seemingly beyond your power to resist. Increases the damage of all Thaumaturgy effects by forty percent.
Background Information
- Several occult items in the game are two objects: one dummy "unknown" item with a skill requirement, and then a full version of the item once the dummy item's requirements have been met.
- item_w_gargoyle_fist, originally an unused "weapon" for the Hollywood Gargoyle, has been repurposed for the Unknown version of the Daimonori.
- Due to the name, the Daimonori may have some connection with demons. Some fans have drawn a connection to the signature Discipline of the demon-worshipping Baali, Daimonion, even going so far as to suggest Maximillian Strauss is secretly a Baali; although there's little textual support for this claim.
