Background Information

  • Sold by Trip.
  • Given a lockpick is provided during the Tutorial, it may be more worthwhile for players not to skip the Tutorial so they can get their lockpick free and avoid the cost.
  • The lockpick laying on the ground. The trainyard's west wall is directly behind the camera.
Alternately, if a player manages to go through Santa Monica without using a lockpick, one is available in the Santa Monica trainyard map. It's laying on the ground between tracks to your left as you exit the train station, two rows out, with the Sabbat warehouse across the tracks on your far right.
  • Some of the tougher armor in the game reduces Dexterity when worn. Since Dexterity is a contributing Attribute to the Lockpicking Feat, a common technique is to switch to a lighter armor in order to pick a lock, and then switch back to the heavy armor once the lock is picked.
  • The handle of the lockpick model has a Vampire Revised ankh, although it's typically too small to be seen in-game.
