Kalfu

Kalfu is one of the Loa, the twin of Legba and god of the night.

Overview

Some Vodou practitioners think Legba and Kalfu are the same god, and indeed, they look and dress almost exactly alike. They are always apart but never far away from each others, appearing on the opposite corners of a crossroads and the opposite sides of doors. Kalfu's only tell is a slight difference in colors, more muted, as if lit only by moonlight, because he is the master of the malevolent spirits of the night.

Kalfu can be found as a hypocritical preacher and a smooth talking drug dealer. He is a patron of ambition, and it's not (always) his fault when that ambition leads to discord and strife. Darker spirits follow wherever he goes, and when you spot him, it's usually best to keep your mouth shut unless you want to invite his dubious favors.

Scions of Kalfu are magnets for trouble and discord. They frequently have a history with the law, and even if they've never actually committed a crime, the local cops always seem to know their face. Often this leads them to a life of crime by default — if they're going to get in trouble anyway, it might as well be trouble they choose, right? But the Gods understand that the dichotomy of good and evil is one of the fundamental creative forces of the World, and helps keeps the Titans at bay.
