Makara (BTP)

Makara are one of the Families of Beasts. They represent nightmares of the Depths, such as sirens, krakens and leviathans. Their Horrors resemble the kind of monsters found in deep water, or even the water itself. [1]

Their Birthright allows them to impose the sensation of drowning on anyone in a radius of Lair x 10 feet. This works even for creatures that do not need to breathe. [2]

Makara and Anakim have an age-old rivalry due to their overlapping "turf": Giants may embody the overwhelming force of the natural world, but Makara represent both the hidden darkness of water and its power to overwhelm and destroy. Like Anakim, Makara may seek out kinship with the Arisen. Makara also usually enjoy friendly ties with mages and sometimes changelings. [3]
