Malapraxis

A malapraxis is the manifestation of a Vice which makes up the core of an akathartos.[1]

Overview

Each malapraxis is bound up in a Vice. In addition to the Vice is a Key, which determines how the Vice is expressed.[1] Keys might be elemental, related to some institution, based on a situation/time, or focused on a particular subject.[1] As an example, one might have the Key of Military and Vice of Wrath; the full expression of the malapraxis, then, would be excessive violence meted out by soldiers.

As demons grow in power, they may accumulate further malapraxes, be they many Vices for a single Key, many Keys for a single Vice, or some combination thereof.[1]

Effects

Generally, a demon gains strength when its malapraxis is fulfilled while it is in the vicinity. Mechanically, this tends to take the form of regaining Willpower and Essence.[2]
