Rage-in-the-Mountains

Rage-in-the-Mountains is a Lupus Ahroun Wendigo.[1]

Biography

The Gray River pack was a Wendigo pack that existed about 20 years ago. Its members were great warriors who fought the Wyrm's agents on Earth. However, they realized that fighting earthly aspects of the Wyrm was a losing battle. The war had to be brought to the Wyrm itself, deep in the Umbra. The pack proposed that once passage into the Umbra had been achieved, a huge war party would be sent to find a weakness in the Wyrm. The pack traveled into the Deep Umbra, but the Wyrm was vigilant and recognized them. It lashed out and destroyed them with one swing of its mighty tentacle. The pack had taken the precaution of leaving Rage-in-the-Mountains behind as a spiritual anchor, allowing the rest of the pack to re-form as spirits. The sudden rush of all the spirits toward him destroyed Rage's mind and altered his body. His only desire was to be the group's anchor, thus protecting the others' spirits in the Umbra.

Appearance

Rage is a terrifying sight. He has lost control of his transformations and is constantly in a slow state of flux from one form to another. In Crinos he stands 15 feet tall with white fur and gray streaks on his flanks. He constantly howls his cacophony and can only hear his spiritual pack mates. He becomes quiet and still if the Garou begin negotiations with the Gray River spirits.

  • Windwarrior, an Ahroun, opposes the Garou. She see Jenny as tainted and the Garou as invaders. She acts aggressively and fights through Rage's body if provoked. She favors destroying Henny, but abides by a majority decision.
  • Jeremy Stonemaker, a Galliard, had become enthralled with the Umbra as the "song" of Gaia. The Garou must convince him that Jenny's fate could impact actively oppose the characters, however.
  • Wildrunner, a Ragabash, uses pack unity as his criterion for approval. He constantly tries to fan the flames of dissension between the characters. He supports them only if they support each other and put their differences aside.
  • Keeper-of-the-Ways, a Philodox, wants to support the Garou. However, she must be convinved to vote in their favor. She plays devil's advocate, trying to bring out the Garou's own doubts about their course of action. If they honestly feel they are doing what best serves Gaia and have dealt with their own misgivings, she supports them.
