Ritual Pottery

The Vinča people, during the Neolithic, were known to create ritual pottery with certain magic effects, due to the use of High Speech inscriptions. Among these effects were the protection of the soul from outside tampering, warding of an area from spiritual activity, and use as Yantras by the Wise.[1]

The religious importance of ritual pottery saw potters as being a caste of only slightly lesser importance than the Wise themselves.[2]
