Sentinels

The Sentinels were a group of supernatural beings many kinds within 15th-century Constantinople who acted to contain dangerous creatures in the wake of the God-Machine's withdrawal from the city.[1]

Though acting to protect the general public from supernatural threats, Sentinels were more than willing to resort to brutal measures such as kidnapping children to placate djinn or orchestrate murders and cut out tongues to prevent the spread of contagious phrases.[2]

This faction generally preferred to remain hidden when possible and would silence those who threatened to expose their existence.[2]
