Shadowraith

Shadowraiths, also known as Ush-Hissa, are death-spirits who seek to spread their "gift" among the living.[1]

Overview

“ <<Death, dust, fear, rot, loss… hurry, hurry to the mad world's ending…>> ”

Taking, like many death-spirits, the form of death-associated animals, Shadowraiths form as mere blots of darkness and feign at being other death-spirits.[1] As they grow stronger, however, they begin to attach themselves to the recently-dead and possess the corpses, so as to better spread their gift.[2]
