Tyrannoi

The Tyrannoi were a group of sorcerers active during the waning days of Alexander the Great's empire.

Overview

Originally a splinter faction of the cult known as the Arcadian Mysteries, supplemented by a small number of exiled Mantrikis, this group sought to rule the world as it was, rather than attempt to lead the world into a golden age, as their fellows believed.[1] To that end, a number of them took up the name of Diadochi, and much as their Sleeper counterparts, attempted to wrest control of Alexander's empire in the wake of his death.[2]

Eventually, the Exarchs began to fear the collective power of the Awakened. In response, they tempted the Tyrannoi into the formation of the first Ministry of the Seers of the Throne.[3]
