Type locality: China. 四川 [= Sichuan; now Chongqing]: 巫渓 [= Wuxi County].

Native distribution areas:
Continental: Asia-Temperate Regional: China China South-Central (Chongqing). Note: Yang et al. (1978) cite two collections in the protologue and both of them are from Chongqing despite being indicated as 'Sichuan'; Wuxi County and Wushan County. References: Brummitt, R.K. 2001.
