- Holotype: NMBE 1057364, adult ♂, collected by A. Haas, Pui Yong Min, S.T. Hertwig and A. Jankowski on 28 August 2010.
- Type locality: “a small stream on the upper reaches of the Sungei Julan on the northern side of the Usun Apau Plateau just above the falls of the Sungei Julan Valley, Usun Apau National Park, Sarawak, East Malaysia (Borneo). GPS N 03.03292°, E 114.66647°, 1002m a.s.l.”
