- Typus: Kriti, province of Khania, Lefka Ori: shaded vertical gully in limestone rock on north face of Mt Hagios Pnevma, 2100 m, 19 Aug 1971, Brownsey & Jermy J9149, (cultivated at Leeds University Botanic Garden as PJB C55). Holotype: BM 001045142.
