Holotype: UTEP 20263 (field no. EBG 2025), adult ♂, collected by M.M. Aristote, E. Greenbaum, C. Kusamba, Wandege Mastaki Moninga, Maurice Luhumyo, and Asukulu M’Mema on on 23 May 2009.
Type locality: “footpath south of Rurambo village, Itombwe Plateau, South Kivu Province, DRC (2°59′39′′S, 28°52′34′′E, 2876 m)”.
