- Holotype: MHN unnumbered, complete skull and right mandible.
- Type locality: “extracted from a bundle of embalmed shrews found in the archaeological complex of Akhmim (=Achmim or Akhmin), Thebes, Egypt. The radiocarbon date of this material 2400 ± 140 yr B.P.”.
