• Type genus: Genista L. Sp. Pl. 2: 709 (1753)
  

Note: Phylogenetically Chamaecytisus is embedded in Cytisus (Hunter et al. 2025), but some of the required combinations are not available. In addition, many botanists prefer to keep them segregated Therefor, the genera remain segregated until this has been resolved.
