Types:
- Lectotype: C.L. Ledermann 10005 (in flower, December 1912; L 0013572^(JSTOR) [designated by van Welzen 1989; ex B]; ⧼Isolectotypi⧽: K [K000701670^(JSTOR), ex B], M-0225214^(JSTOR)).
- Syntypes: C.L. Ledermann 8500 (quite young buds; K [K000701669^(JSTOR), ex B], M-0225215^(JSTOR)) et Ledermann 11456 (not seen by van Welzen).
  - Note: Radlkofer presented two more syntypes, i.e. Ledermann 10365 and Ledermann 10365a, both conspecific with Cnesmocarpon dasyantha (Radlk.) Adema and the former one being the type of its basionym Guioa dasyantha.
Type locality: Nordöstl. Neu-Guinea [= Northeastern PAPUA NEW GUINEA]. Kaiserin-Augusta-Fluß-Exp.:
- Lectotypus: im montanen Walde auf dem Lordberge, 1000 m ü. M.
- 8500 & 11456: im montanen Walde auf der Hunsteinspitze, 1300–1350 m ü. M.
