Hapalogenys bengalensis Mohapatra et al., 2013

Type locality: Digha Mohana, West Bengal, India, 21°37.843'N, 87°32.827'E .

Etymology: The species is named as bengalensis with reference to the Bay of Bengal, where the species was collected.
