Lepisanthes hainanensis H.S.Lo, Acta Phytotax. Sin. 17(2): 31 (1979)

Typus: Y. Tsoong (钟义) 60236 (20 April 1977, in 5 parts; cf. IBSC {0001962, 0001963, 0001964, 0001965, 0001966, 0001967}).
- Note: although Tropicos states holotype is located at PE (i.e. Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences), author's affiliation is IBSC, one of the subordinate units of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Type locality: China. Hai-nan: Ya-xian, Ya-cheng People's Commune, Nan-shan-ling, alt. 200–300 m., in dense forest.
