Megascapheus nigricans (Rhoads, 1895)
- Holotype: ANSP 9007 (= SNR 2007), adult ♂, skin and skull, collected by F. Stephens on 22 December 1893.
- Type locality: “Witch Creek, San Diego Co., California”.
