- Holotype: KU 64713, adult ♂, skin and skull, collected by James W. Bee and J.A. Ibarra on 7 January 1955.
- Type locality: “1 mi S and 0.75 mi E Yepocapa, 4280 ft, Chimaltenango, Guatemala”.
