- Holotype: CBF 2636, subadult ♂, 29 Mar 1993
- Type locality: 4 km west of Chuspipata along the main road between La Paz and Coroico ("Cotapata" of Remsen 1985), 16°19’S, 67°51’W, 3215 m, Province of Nor Yungas, Department of La Paz, Bolivia.
