- Holotype: BNHS 3758, adult ♂, collected by Avrajjal Ghosh and Vivek Cyriac on 24 September 2014.
- Type locality: “base of Elival Malai, Siruvani Hills (10.9671507°N, 76.6343686°E; 996 m elevation), apart of the Nilgiri Hill Complex, situated just north of the Palghat Gap, in Palakkad district, Kerala, India”.
