- Holotype: MECN 6912, adult ♀, skin, skull and postcranial skeleton, collected by Jorge Brito, Rubí García and Fausto Rodríguez on 19 January 2022.
- Type locality: “Ecuador, Provincia de Imbabura, Área de Protección Hídrica Otavalo Mojanda (0.15456, –78.27536, WGS84 coordinates taken by GPS at the site of collection, elevation 3,690 m)”.
