- Holotype: FMNH 178563, adult ♂, body in alcohol with skull removed, collected by J. Ranivo and F. Ratrimomanarivo on 25 September 2003.
- Type locality: “Madagascar, Province de Mahajanga, Réserve Naturelle Inte´ grale wParc Nationalx de Namoroka, Grotte d’Ampidiranamhaja, 4 km SSW Namoroka village, 168 25.9579 S, 458 17.1809 E, 120 m above sea level”.
