- Type locality: "Lednice n.M., Czech Republic." [Lednice na Morav?].
- Holotype: strain CCALA 423, permanently cryopreserved in a metabolically inactive state (cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen) in the CCALA (Culture Collection of Autotrophic Organisms), Institute of Botany CAS, Czech Republic.
- Iconotype (designated by Darienko & Pröschold 2017 in support of the holotype): Fig. 22.
