လည်ပင်း
Burmese
Etymology
From လည် (lany, “neck”) + a component ပင်း (pang:), which may not invoke the sense of "to wedge, block" (contrary to MED), and instead appears to derive from a Proto-Tibeto-Burman *p(w)aŋ (“neck”); compare Garo [script needed] (liː po, “neck”) (STEDT). As this root only occurs as the last syllable of compounds, it is feasible that the root is indeed related to the "wedge" sense.
