Etymology
From the Analects, Book 2 (《論語·爲政》):
- 子曰:「溫故而知新,可以為師矣。」 [Traditional Chinese poetry, trad.]

- Zǐyuē: “Wēn gù ér zhī xīn, kěyǐ wéi shī yǐ.” [Pinyin]
