nebe-

1. Used on all verb forms to indicate that the action no longer occurs.

   ‎nebe- + ‎norė́ti (“to want”) → ‎nebenorė́ti (“to not want anymore”)

   ‎nebe- + ‎verkiù (“I am crying”) → ‎nebeverkiù (“I am not crying anymore”)

As with ne-, some intransitive verbs require the genitive rather than the nominative subject. This is particularly the case when the (continued) existence of something is denied:

• Yra galimybė.
  • There is a chance.
• Nebėra galimybės.
  • There is no longer a chance.
