The tag ![]()
climbing= marks the start (usually the bottom) of a climbing route. It is used for climbers to access the start of their ascent outdoors. It usually holds a name=* and a difficulty grading (see Climbing#Grading).
- It may be part of the

climbing=cragrelation. - If the whole route is known, the node `route_bottom` should be replace with

climbing=routeway.
