• 1348-1350. The Black Plague kills a third of Europe's population.^[1]
• The Great Flock's last confirmed sighting occurs this year, during the height of the Black Plague in Europe; they then fly over the Horizon, never to be seen again.^[2]
• Many Hermetic magi survive, but the plague devastates their support structure and sours Sleeper attitudes to mages.^[1]

• The Shattering reaches its peak. As the Black Plague hits England, the sidhe retreat to Arcadia and seal the trods behind them.^{[citation needed]}
