July (Thermidor)

  • Jean-Paul Marat is assassinated in his bathtub by Charlotte Corday.[5]
  • The Thermidorian Reaction. Robespierre accuses the entire National Convention of harboring traitors; his own followers turn on him, and he is executed.[3]
