  • Forces from Paris besiege Lyons to eradicate anti-Revolutionary "insurgents."[4]

November (Brumaire)

  • The Cult of Reason stages a massive Festival of Reason in Notre Dame Cathedral. Near the end of the festivities, members of the Tenth Choir sacrifice a captured angel on the altar in plain view of the kine.[5]
  • Philippe Égalité, the former Duke of Orleans, is executed.[2]
