During the hostage crisis in Rennes that French changelings faced in 1683, Ametz and Zelionne were dispatched to Nantes as representatives of Brocéliande.

Ametz was described as a crafty sort who made sure to present himself as a mere humble servant — a choice that only aggravated Summer King Gildas of Nantes even further.
