Carl Winter

Carl Winter, is a Ghoul and bouncer for the Purgatory Bar.[1]

Biography

Carl has been a follower all his life. He started off as a petty thug, following a gang boss who sent him to collect protection money from Jean-Marie in the mid-60s. Now, he works for Jean-Marie making sure that no-one tries the same thing again. He has been at Purgatory almost from the start, and is convinced that Jean-Marie will one day make him a full Kindred. This is a mistake, although it is one that Jean-Marie has done nothing to correct. After all, the hope of 'promotion' keeps Cark loyal and diligent in his service. Besides, his ability to move in daylight is too useful to dispense with, and (everyone agrees) Carl is simply too ugly for Jean-Marie ever to Embrace him fully. Carl has an interesting quirk - he hates punk music and punks along with it. He tolerates it as best he can, but some days, when his temper is short, it really gets on his nerves. For years, Carl has been trying to convince Jean-Marie to convert the nightclub to "a more sedate place, with lots of nice girls."
