The Chateau Marmont Hotel (shown in-game as the "Chateau Hotel") is a hotel in Hollywood, well-known as a popular location for celebrities.

During late 2004 it was briefly commandeered by the Anarch Movement as a staging ground for attacks on Ming Xiao and Sebastian LaCroix.

Background Information

• The Chateau Marmont was not in the original release of Bloodlines, although it was included among the concept art. The art was labeled as the Ocean House, so it's possible the Chateau Marmont was originally intended to take on the role of the Ocean House, similarly to how the Bradbury Building plays the role of the Hallowbrook Hotel or the Millennium Biltmore stands in for the Empire Arms Hotel. Like the Ocean View, the Chateau Marmont has a reputation for being haunted^[1] and is on a number of ghost tours.
• In the process of creating the Malkavian Maze, some remaining Chateau Marmont files were uncovered, and the level was rebuilt for the Plus version of the Unofficial Patch using these assets. The Anarch ending has been moved here from the original location in the Luckee Star Motel.^[2]
• Depending on actions taken earlier in the game, some characters may re-appear as members of the Anarchs, guarding the Chateau:
  • Copper the thin-blood (if you tell him Nines is the head vampire)
  • Isaac's Sweeper (if still alive)
  • The Southland Slasher (if you tell him to find Nines)
  • The Hollywood Gargoyle (if you convince him to side with Isaac)
