Court of the White Tiger (CTL)

For the first edition equivalent, see Court of the West.
For the court in Kindred of the East, see Court of the White Tiger.

The Court of the White Tiger, or the Western Court, is one of the five Directional Courts found among changelings in eastern Asia. For this court, honor is an emotion, as well as an ideal to uphold.

Overview

The Western Court attracts changelings whose Durance was short, violent, or both. They respect martial prowess above all, and their bloodthirsty reputation may even be strong enough to give Huntsmen pause. Tigers are the closest to humanity of all the Directional Courts, fighting at their side, sharing their joy and sorrow; in a pinch, they may even put their human comrades-in-arms above their Freehold, though this rarely ends well for them.

The mantle of the Western Court is an eerie cold, but courtiers gain enhanced martial prowess. At one dot, they gain skill with their chosen weapon; at three dots, they become more intimidating, as long scars manifest on their bodies after every kill. At its highest level, the mantle lets them bypass a point of Armor with any attack. Their skin may turn white or silvery.
