Court of Blood (CTL)
The Court of Blood is one of the primary Courts of London in the mid-late 1400s, alongside the Court of Ash and the Court of Snow. Having ruled the freehold since 1485, when they defeated the White Rose and Henry VII took the throne, this Court sees itself as the natural leader of the freehold.
Organization
Due to the Court's lofty view of itself, joining the Red Lion is not particularly easy. Its ranks are composed of great warriors, artists, and diplomats, and joining requires that the aspirant prove himself worthy. Once the aspirant has entered the Court, he is shuffled off to one of four factions, each of which answering to the reigning sovereign, that best suited his talents.
Sects
The Nobility: Chosen from each of the other factions, this group acts as the sovereign’s advisors. They often are the most notable of the faction, being of prestigious Entitlement, fine skill, and high Mantle.
The Guild of Meisters: The wealthiest among the Court, the Guild is made up of tradesmen and craftsmen, both in the mortal world and among the Lost. Rather cutthroat, the guild uses such unscrupulous practices as price fixing, monopolies, and bribery to maintain their death grip on their wealth.
The Golden Knights: The military arm of the Golden Court, while the Knights are martially talented individually, their true strength comes from their tactical training and cooperative skill.
The Joyeux: Bohemians and diplomats both, this wing of the Court acts as its negotiators. Though the Golden Knights find greater acclaim, it is largely through the prowess of the Joyeux that the Blood Court continues to reign.
